Santiago Cruz Ignites USA Stages with ‘Quince de Caminos’ Tour, Celebrating a Monumental Musical Journey

Mina ParkMina ParkAugust 20, 2025 1323 Minutes read0

Colombian singer-songwriter Santiago Cruz has embarked on his highly anticipated “Quince de Caminos” tour across the United States, bringing an intimate and powerful celebration of his illustrious career to latin music fans. This special tour commemorates the 15th anniversary of his iconic album, “Cruce de Caminos,” and promises an unforgettable journey through his extensive catalog of hits. With over two decades of experience, nine studio albums, and six Latin GRAMMY nominations, Cruz continues to solidify his position as a prominent figure in the contemporary music scene.

The Enduring Legacy of ‘Cruce de Caminos’

Released in 2009, “Cruce de Caminos” marked a pivotal moment in Santiago Cruz’s career, earning him a Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best Singer-Songwriter Album. The album featured several radio hits in Colombia, including “Baja La Guardia,” “Cuando Regreses,” “Y si te quedas qué,” “6 AM,” and “En tus zapatos.” The “Quince de Caminos” project goes beyond mere nostalgia, serving as an emotional reinterpretation that prioritizes maturity, introspection, and creative vulnerability. It’s a testament to the album’s lasting impact and how it transformed not only Cruz’s life but also the lives of countless listeners.

New Sonic Expressions and Notable Collaborations

As part of this commemorative project, Santiago Cruz has released new music that expands the emotional and sonic landscape of “Quince de Caminos.” Recently, he unveiled the original single “Todos Tenemos Cicatrices” in May 2025, a poignant reflection on life’s indelible marks. This was followed by “¿Qué Más Da? (2025 Version)” in July 2025, an acoustic duet featuring Juan Pablo Vega, which served as a precursor to the full “Quince de Caminos” live album release. The live album itself boasts an impressive roster of collaborators, including Junior Zamora, Juan Pablo Vega, Duplat, Daniel Álvarez, and Juan Galeano of the acclaimed band Diamante Eléctrico.

Cruz’s music style is a rich fusion of pop and rock, infused with elements of traditional Latin genres such as cumbia, salsa, and merengue. His songs are widely recognized for their thoughtful lyrics, catchy melodies, and a profound social commitment. Throughout his career, Cruz has explored universal themes of love, longing, and self-discovery, resonating deeply with a diverse audience. His ninth studio album, “Nueve,” released in 2023, further demonstrated his artistic evolution, featuring collaborations with artists like Andrés Cepeda.

The Highly Anticipated USA Tour Leg

The “Quince de Caminos” tour kicked off its U.S. leg in August 2025, following successful sold-out performances in Mexico. The announcements of the USA dates generated considerable excitement among fans eager to experience his intimate and heartfelt performances live. The tour includes a series of engagements across various cities, providing ample opportunities for audiences to connect with his artistry.

Key dates for the August 2025 USA leg include:

* August 11: Atlanta, City Winery Atlanta (Already sold out)

Many of these U.S. dates are hosted at City Winery venues, known for their intimate settings that allow for an up-close and personal concert experience, often complemented by an exquisite food and beverage service.

A Voice for Change: Beyond the Stage

Beyond his musical achievements, Santiago Cruz is also a dedicated humanitarian. In 2011, he was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Colombia. In this role, he has actively championed causes aimed at combating poverty and violence against women, continually advocating for peace and reconciliation among Colombians. This commitment to social issues imbues his music with an additional layer of meaning, reflecting a profound sense of responsibility toward his community.

An Unforgettable Musical Experience

The “Quince de Caminos” tour is more than just a series of concerts; it’s a milestone event that encapsulates Santiago Cruz’s remarkable journey as an artist. Fans can anticipate an intimate, visceral, and musically bold experience, featuring beloved classics alongside fresh interpretations and new material. As Cruz continues his expansive tour across the United States, and later to Argentina, Chile, and Spain, his enduring impact on latin pop music is undeniable, promising an unforgettable connection with his audience and a continued legacy for years to come.
