Panama City, Panama – September 25, 2025 – The 22nd annual Premios Juventud celebrated the vibrant landscape of Latin music and culture last night, making history as the first-ever edition held outside the United States in Panama City. The fan-voted awards ceremony, themed “Evolucionando al ritmo de la música” (Evolving to the rhythm of music), saw Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny and the Colombian pop-rock group Morat emerge as the night’s top honorees, each securing three coveted awards.

Bad Bunny, who, along with Danny Ocean, led the night with six nominations each, continued his reign in the urban music sphere. He clinched awards for Best Urban Track (“DTMF”), Best Urban Mix (“Adivino” with Myke Towers), and Best Urban Album (“Debí Tirar Más Fotos”). His consistent dominance solidifies his position as a leading force in contemporary Latin music.

Morat also had a stellar evening, taking home three trophies that underscored their popularity. The beloved group was awarded Favorite Group or Duo of the Year, Best Pop/Rock Song (“Me Toca a Mí” with Camilo), and Best Pop Album for “Ya Es Mañana”. Their success highlights the enduring appeal of their melodic and relatable pop-rock sound.

Colombian sensation Karol G was a major winner, earning the prestigious Premios Juventud Artist of the Year award and Tropical Hit of the Year for her infectious track “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido”. Her wins underscore her significant impact across multiple genres within the Latin music scene.

Representing the rich sounds of Mexican music, Carín León celebrated a successful night, securing awards for Best Mexican Music Song (“El Amor de Mi Herida”) and Best Mexican Music Album (“Boca Chueca, Vol. 1”). His dual wins affirm his standing as a top artist in the regional Mexican music category.

This year’s Premios Juventud marked a significant milestone by hosting the event in Panama, a move designed to honor the strength, values, and traditions of Latin American communities. The ceremony featured an electrifying lineup of performances, including a powerful opening number celebrating Panama’s musical legacy with artists like Boza, Farruko, and Natti Natasha, as well as a memorable medley from Carlos Vives and Grupo Niche.

Beyond the music categories, the awards also recognized influential figures with the “Agent of Change” award, presented to Carlos Vives and Myke Towers for their philanthropic efforts and commitment to social impact. The ceremony also highlighted achievements in the digital realm, with creators like Jess Judith Ortiz (Creator of the Year) and Alexis Omman (Creator with a Social Cause) taking home awards. The television and streaming world was also celebrated, with the telenovela “El Extraño Retorno de Diana Salazar” receiving multiple accolades.

The 2025 Premios Juventud served as a testament to the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of Latin music and entertainment. With top artists like Bad Bunny and Morat leading the charge, alongside powerful voices like Karol G and Carín León, the night showcased the diverse talent and stories shaping the industry today.
