HYBE Latin America Unveils Low Clika: Six-Member Band Debuts with Groundbreaking House Tumbado Sound

Santiago VargasSantiago VargasNovember 21, 2025 1974 Minutes read0

HYBE Latin America has officially launched its newest musical venture, the six-member boy band Low Clika, who made their highly anticipated Low Clika debut on November 20, 2025. Their inaugural single, “Camionetas Negras,” arrives as a bold statement, pioneering the nascent “House Tumbado” genre—a distinctive fusion of traditional Mexican corridos with contemporary hip-hop and trap influences. This Low Clika debut marks a significant stride in HYBE’s ambitious global expansion strategy, showcasing its commitment to cultivating diverse music genres and talent across international markets. The Low Clika band is poised to make waves with their fresh sound and innovative approach.

From Audition Stage to Global Ambitions: The Genesis of Low Clika’s Debut

Low Clika’s formation is rooted in the rigorous “Pase a la Fama” (Step to Fame) audition program, a collaborative project between HYBE Latin America and the Spanish-language television network Telemundo. This initiative, designed to discover and nurture Latin talent, brought together aspiring artists from across Mexico, the United States, Brazil, and Spain. The program, which aired on Telemundo and topped ratings for Spanish-language programming in its time slot, subjected participants to intense training and competitive challenges, embodying HYBE’s proven K-pop artist development methodology adapted for the Latin music scene. The members of Low Clika, hailing from the Mexico-U.S. border region, were selected for their unique synergy and ability to blend their traditional folk music backgrounds with modern trap, urban, and pop elements, setting the stage for their eventual Low Clika debut.

Defining the House Tumbado Sound: A New Era for Latin Music Artists

The debut single, “Camionetas Negras,” which translates to “Black Vans,” offers listeners a vibrant narrative of a night out with friends in Mexico City, set against a compelling musical backdrop [Initial Context, 7]. The House Tumbado genre, an innovative evolution of corridos tumbados, merges the storytelling essence of traditional Mexican ballads with the heavy beats and rhythmic flows of hip-hop and trap. This genre, championed by artists like Natanael Cano and Peso Pluma, is rapidly gaining traction in the global music landscape, making Low Clika’s entry particularly timely. The band’s willingness to experiment within this emerging sound signals their ambition to contribute fresh stories and styles to regional Mexican music and beyond, truly defining their Low Clika debut sound.

The Faces of Low Clika: Preparing for Their New Music Debut

Low Clika is comprised of six distinct individuals, each bringing a unique musicality and personality to the group. The band features Terry on requinto guitar, Raki as a vocalist, Memo on drums, Ricky on alto horn and trumpet, Agustín on bajo quinto, and Lalito, the youngest member, on bass. Their collective participation in composing, arranging, and performing underscores their dedication to building their own musical world. This collaborative spirit is central to their appeal, promising a dynamic and multifaceted artistic identity as they gear up for their new music debut.

HYBE’s Strategic Expansion into Latin Music with Low Clika

The launch of Low Clika is a key component of HYBE’s broader “Multi-home, Multi-genre” global strategy, which aims to diversify its portfolio beyond K-pop and establish a strong presence in key international markets. Since establishing HYBE Latin America in 2023 and acquiring Exile Music, the company has been actively investing in artist development and infrastructure across the region. Projects such as the “Santos Bravos” boy group reality series and the creation of the S1ENTO Records label further demonstrate HYBE’s comprehensive approach to nurturing Latin talent. By applying its expertise in scouting, training, and production, HYBE seeks to build a sustainable ecosystem for Latin artists, bridging cultures and expanding the reach of their music globally, with the Low Clika band at the forefront of this new chapter.

Production Excellence and Future Outlook for Low Clika’s Debut

Complementing Low Clika’s innovative sound and dedicated members are the production talents of Wicked Outside and Latin Grammy-winning producer JULiA LEWiS. Their involvement in “Camionetas Negras” ensures a high-quality, market-ready release that blends genre innovation with polished execution. Myrna Perez, General Manager of S1ENTO Records, noted that Low Clika has already generated significant interest and boasts a highly engaged fanbase. The group’s Low Clika debut is seen as a meaningful example of how HYBE’s global artist development model can contribute to the expansion and evolution of Mexican music, offering compelling stories for a worldwide audience. As Low Clika embarks on its journey, their corridos tumbados fusion and participation in the Telemundo audition process position them as an exciting new force in the ever-growing Latin music artists landscape.
