London’s longest-running and most celebrated Latin music festival, La Linea Festival, has announced its highly anticipated 2026 edition, promising a vibrant and diverse showcase of Latin-Hispanic sounds. Running from April 20 to May 6, 2026, across various venues in the capital, this 26th iteration of the festival, presented by Como No, is set to make a powerful statement by featuring a staggering 90% female lineup. This strategic emphasis on women artists underscores La Linea Festival’s commitment to amplifying female voices and solidifying its position as a leading platform for innovation within the global latin music scene. The upcoming La Linea Festival is particularly notable for its focus on Female Latin artists, making it a premier London Latin Festival.

A Groundbreaking Showcase for Female Talent at the La Linea Festival

The decision to dedicate the vast majority of the 2026 program to women artists is a significant move that reaffirms La Linea Festival’s dedication to gender parity and the recognition of female contributions to Latin music. Elena Beltrami, Festival Director, highlighted the event’s core mission: “La Linea has always been about connection – between continents, generations, and sounds – and this year’s line-up captures that spirit more than ever. We’re proud to showcase the extraordinary creativity of women who are shaping Latin music today while celebrating the London-based artists who are reimagining it for the future”. This focus not only celebrates established female icons but also provides a crucial platform for emerging talent, ensuring a rich tapestry of sounds and stories from across the Latin world. This dedication makes the La Linea Festival a unique Latin music showcase.

Esteemed Artists and Diverse Musical Journeys at La Linea Festival

The festival’s lineup boasts an impressive array of acclaimed musicians. Opening the festival at the Barbican on April 20, Portuguese fado sensation Sara Correia will present a new album and show, continuing her rise as one of fado’s brightest stars. Mexican singer-songwriter Silvana Estrada, a Latin Grammy winner for Best New Artist in 2022, will make her La Linea debut at Union Chapel on April 29, showcasing her widely acclaimed work. Known for her captivating voice and poetic lyricism, Estrada’s performance is set to be a major highlight of the La Linea Festival.

Adding to the rock contingent, one of Mexico’s most successful rock bands, Caifanes, will perform an intimate show at The Garage on April 28, a rare opportunity to see the stadium-filling act in a more personal setting. The festival will also feature the UK debut of Brazilian artist Zé Ibarra, known for his work with the Latin Grammy-winning group Bala Desejo, at the Jazz Cafe on May 6. Other notable performers include Spanish singer-songwriter Lia Kali, Argentinian Nu Cumbia artist La Yegros, and the returning “Latinas of London” showcase led by Desta French, celebrating the city’s vibrant Latina community. Eliane Correa will present “Las Salseras – A Tribute to Celia Cruz” at the Jazz Cafe, honoring the legendary Cuban singer with an all-female salsa band, further emphasizing the La Linea Festival‘s commitment to Female Latin artists.

La Linea: A Legacy of Latin Music in London

La Linea has established itself as a cornerstone of London’s cultural landscape since its inception in 2001. Presented by Como No, a promoter with decades of experience championing Latin music in the UK since the 1980s, the festival has consistently celebrated the evolving sounds of Latin America. Its enduring legacy lies in its ability to bridge continents, generations, and musical genres, bringing a rich diversity of Afro-Cuban hip-hop, Argentine electronica, samba, and much more to London audiences. This year’s news is another testament to its forward-thinking approach, setting a new standard for major festivals in its commitment to female representation, making it a premier London Latin Festival and a true Latin music showcase.
