ASCAP members shaped the sound of 2025, with their innovative contributions significantly impacting the global music landscape. This year marked incredible success for ASCAP 2025 Music, as their songs topped charts and their artists garnered major awards. Pop Songwriting Dominance and ASCAP 2025 Music Success

Jack Antonoff earned ASCAP Pop Music Songwriter of the Year, co-writing six top songs, including major pop music hits for Taylor Swift and notable contributions to Sabrina Carpenter’s work. Teddy Swims’s “Lose Control” won Song of the Year, setting a record by staying in the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 for 58 weeks. Sony Music Publishing was named Publisher of the Year. Many other artists were honored, including Beyoncé, Olivia Rodrigo, and Chappell Roan, underscoring the breadth of ASCAP member success in pop songwriting and the overall ASCAP 2025 Music landscape.

Xavi became the youngest Songwriter of the Year, a historic achievement, while Feid won Songwriter/Artist of the Year for the second time. Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” took top honors, winning ASCAP R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Song of the Year. Cardi B received the Voice of the Culture Award, and OZ was named Rhythm & Soul Songwriter of the Year. Sony Music Publishing also led this genre.
