Jaime Lozano & The Familia Release ‘Songs By An Immigrant Vol. 3’ Featuring Top Latin and Broadway Stars

New York, NY – August 22, 2025 – Concord Theatricals Recordings has officially released “Songs By An Immigrant Vol. 3,” the latest and highly anticipated album from Mexican musical theatre composer and storyteller Jaime Lozano and his ensemble, The Familia. This star-studded collection features an impressive lineup of award-winning Latin artists and Broadway performers, offering a poignant exploration of the immigrant experience through song.

A Composer’s Vision for Immigrant Narratives

Jaime Lozano, a recipient of the prestigious Jonathan Larson Grant and hailed by Lin-Manuel Miranda as “the next big thing” in musical theatre, has built a career on sharing authentic narratives. As a proud Mexican immigrant himself, Lozano uses his music as a platform to voice the experiences of his community, aiming to create a sense of recognition and connection for those who have navigated the complexities of immigrating to the United States. His compositions are deeply personal, reflecting his journey and the challenges of finding a new home, learning new languages, confronting discrimination, and pursuing the American Dream, all while striving to build bridges instead of walls. The “Songs By An Immigrant” series has become a significant outlet for these stories, blending genres from Latin music to Broadway ballads.

“The Familia” Gathers Top Talent

“Songs By An Immigrant Vol. 3” is brought to life by “The Familia,” a collaborative collective of acclaimed musicians and vocalists. This volume boasts an exceptional roster, including GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY winner Tony Succar, GRAMMY-winning music producer Trooko, and multi-GRAMMY Award winner Paquito D’Rivera. The album also features the talents of Latin GRAMMY winner Jair Alcalá and his band El Plan, Tony, GRAMMY, Emmy, and Pulitzer Prize winner Tom Kitt, alongside Broadway stars such as Krystina Alabado, Tony Award nominee Lorna Courtney, Florencia Cuenca (who is also Lozano’s wife and a frequent collaborator), Aline Mayagoitia, Joel Perez, and Didi Romero, among many others. This top-tier lineup ensures a rich tapestry of vocal performances and musical interpretations.

Stories of Resilience and Identity

The core of “Songs By An Immigrant Vol. 3” lies in its honest and diverse storytelling. The music delves into the multifaceted experiences of first and second-generation immigrants, exploring themes of parenting, longing for home, feelings of being “in-between,” and the struggle with language. Lozano views the album as a “photo album of family pictures,” capturing the inner truths of immigrants, Mexicans, musical theatre storytellers, fathers, and husbands. The project emphasizes community, resilience, and the celebration of identity, showcasing how music can transcend borders and connect people from different backgrounds.

Release and Live Celebration

Released on August 22, 2025, the album is available on all major streaming and digital download platforms. To commemorate the release, Jaime Lozano & The Familia held a celebratory concert at Sony Hall on August 25, 2025, featuring many of the album’s collaborating artists backed by an 18-piece band. The project’s extensive credits include arrangements and orchestrations by Lozano and Jesús Altamira, and lyrics penned by Lozano alongside Georgie Castilla, Reynolds Robledo, Nathan Tysen, and others.

“Songs By An Immigrant Vol. 3” stands as a testament to the power of music in amplifying diverse voices and sharing vital stories, reinforcing Jaime Lozano’s significant contribution to the landscape of contemporary musical theatre and Latin music.
