Consequence of Energy Unleashes “Into the Void”: Chilean Hard Rock Band Teams with Los Lobos Records for Cinematic New Single

Carlos AbreuCarlos AbreuAugust 27, 2025 1502 Minutes read0

Chilean hard rock outfit Consequence of Energy has officially released their latest single, “Into the Void,” on August 22, 2025, through Los Lobos Records / AWAL. This new track, which pushes the band’s sonic boundaries into cinematic new territory, is part of a compelling three-track digital bundle. The bundle also features their impactful debut single, “Freedom,” and a preview of their highly anticipated 2026 album, “We Are One.”

“Into the Void” boasts production by the acclaimed Garth Richardson, known for his work with legends like Rage Against the Machine and Red Hot Chili Peppers, and mixing by the skilled Dave Schiffman, who has collaborated with artists such as System of a Down and Adele. The single was mastered by the renowned Howie Weinberg.

Consequence of Energy, hailing from Santiago, Chile, is celebrated for blending raw power with profound emotional depth, characterized by intense live performances and intricate percussive arrangements. Producer Garth Richardson commented on the band’s unique sound, stating, “Consequence of Energy don’t just play music — they summon it. Between the percussion storms, the fearless vocals, and grooves deep enough to shake tectonic plates, this record was like capturing lightning in a surf town bottle. I came back from Chile with sand in my shoes and a mix that kicks ass.”

The release of “Into the Void” follows the growing momentum of their debut single, “Freedom,” which charted at #38 on the U.S. SMR Rock Chart. The band is also garnering attention on UK rock radio and across international music press, with “Freedom” accumulating significant views across various live and official video uploads. The official music video for “Into the Void” is set to premiere on August 29, 2025.

Los Lobos Records, an independent label based in Santiago, is dedicated to promoting boundary-pushing music from Latin America’s most compelling rock and alternative artists. Consequence of Energy’s sound, described as fusing cinematic soundscapes with visceral live performances, aligns perfectly with the label’s mission. The band’s influences draw from the heavier, urgent, and anthemic rock sounds, with the members themselves noting inspirations that blend the heaviness of bands like Tool and Rage Against the Machine with the passion characteristic of Latin American rock.

Their forthcoming album, “We Are One,” slated for a 2026 release, is expected to expand on these themes, exploring duality through contrasting forces like life and death, love and hate, and peace and war. The album is planned for a limited edition vinyl release featuring 3D graphics and an animated effect, promising a unique visual and auditory experience.

The success of “Freedom” has already placed Consequence of Energy on international playlists and garnered praise from outlets like Billboard Canada and 100% Rock Magazine. Their ability to capture both wild, untamed elements and structured societal aspects in their music indicates a band poised for significant growth on the global stage. As a rising force from the Chilean rock underground, Consequence of Energy is making its mark with a sound that is both powerful and deeply resonant, contributing to the vibrant landscape of latin music. This new single release marks a significant step in their international ascent.
