Alvaro Soler Releases “Apágame” Ahead of “EL CAMINO” Album, Championing Digital Detox and Authenticity

Alvaro Soler Embarks on a New Journey with “EL CAMINO,” Featuring Digitally-Conscious Single “Apágame”

Alvaro Soler, the globally recognized Latin pop artist, is set to release his highly anticipated new album, “EL CAMINO,” on October 10, 2025. As a prelude to this significant release, Soler has unveiled “Apágame” (“Turn Me Off”), a vibrant new single that poignantly addresses the complex and often overwhelming relationship humanity shares with screens and social media. This track serves as a powerful artistic statement, encouraging a balance between our digital lives and authentic, real-world connections.

“Apágame”: A Call for Digital Disconnection

The single “Apágame,” released on September 26, 2025, is more than just a catchy tune; it’s a personal manifesto from Soler himself. “I wrote ‘Apágame’ because I keep noticing how screens and algorithms captivate us,” Soler explains. “Sometimes you don’t even know anymore: is this the real world or digital? I often catch myself in this situation and have created ways to be phone-free at home – and that feels incredibly good”. Musically, the song begins with a polished, contemporary pop sound, characteristic of modern production. However, it intentionally breaks away towards its conclusion, transitioning into a raw, voice-note-style outro featuring unadulterated guitar and vocals. This deliberate shift symbolizes the contrast between the curated perfection of online life and the genuine authenticity of face-to-face interaction. “Apágame” invites listeners to step back from the digital noise, rediscover the beauty of silence, nature, and even simple boredom, advocating for mindfulness and self-care in an era of constant comparison and pressure.

“EL CAMINO”: A Musical Journey of Healing and Courage

“EL CAMINO” (meaning “The Road” or “The Path”) marks a new chapter for Alvaro Soler, celebrating nearly a decade since the global success of his debut single “El Mismo Sol” in 2015. The album promises a comprehensive exploration of themes including love, healing, the courage to change, hope, and unity. Soler describes the album as a personal, stylistic, and spiritual journey, akin to a musical road movie that reflects on the past, captures the present, and envisions the future. The project was recorded across diverse locations including Berlin, Barcelona, London, Miami, and East Africa, incorporating global sounds and new instruments. Soler’s approach to “EL CAMINO” emphasizes not only sonic experimentation but also a return to the physicality of music, with a focus on vinyl and intentional listening as a ritual.

A Fusion of Latin Rhythms and Pop Sensibility

Alvaro Soler’s music has consistently blended infectious pop energy with rich Latin rhythms, a signature style that has earned him international acclaim. “EL CAMINO” continues this tradition, weaving traditional instruments with modern beats to create an uplifting mix of pop, Latin, and world music. This fusion is a testament to Soler’s multicultural background, having lived in Spain, Japan, and Germany, which has informed his unique musical perspective. His career, marked by chart-topping hits like “Sofia” and “La Cintura,” has established him as one of Europe’s most successful Latin pop artists, with billions of streams and numerous gold and platinum certifications.

Looking Ahead: The “EL CAMINO” Tour

Following the album’s release, Soler is set to embark on his “EL CAMINO Tour” in 2026. The European leg of the tour will kick off on April 20, 2026, in Hamburg, Germany, and includes stops in the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, and Croatia. A concert in Luxembourg is also confirmed for 2026. Specific dates and further international engagements, including in Spain and Italy, are expected to be announced as they are finalized. The tour aims to bring the narrative dimension of the album to life while maintaining an immediate connection with the audience.

With “Apágame” setting the introspective yet danceable tone and “EL CAMINO” promising a profound musical and personal exploration, Alvaro Soler is poised to captivate audiences once again with his signature blend of heartfelt emotion and vibrant Latin-infused music.
