The highly anticipated Latin Grammys 2025 illuminated the MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 13, 2025, with a vibrant celebration of the year’s finest achievements in Latin music. This year’s ceremony returned to the entertainment capital of Las Vegas, marking another significant milestone in the ongoing global rise of Latin music, truly a Las Vegas spectacle. The Latin Grammys 2025 proved to be a momentous occasion for the entire Latin music community, setting the stage for the Latin Grammys 2025.

Bad Bunny Dominates Latin Grammys 2025 Nominations

Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny arrived at the Latin Grammys 2025 as the artist to watch, leading the nominations with an impressive 12 nods. His critically acclaimed album ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ was a major contender, securing nominations in top categories including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Bad Bunny’s extensive Bad Bunny nominations underscore his dominant presence and influence on the contemporary Latin music scene. Trailing closely behind were producer and songwriter Édgar Barrera and the Argentinian hip-hop duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, each earning 10 nominations, highlighting their significant contributions across various chart-topping hits and albums. Other prominent artists like Karol G, Natalia Lafourcade, and Rauw Alejandro were also recognized with multiple nominations, reflecting the diverse talent pool vying for accolades at the Latin Grammys 2025.

A Night of Stellar Performances and Tributes at the Latin Grammys 2025

The evening’s telecast was punctuated by a series of electrifying performances from a star-studded lineup. Artists such as Bad Bunny, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Marco Antonio Solís, Grupo Frontera, and Fuerza Regida took to the stage, showcasing the breadth of genres within Latin music awards. Special appearances by icons like Gloria Estefan and Pepe Aguilar added to the night’s grandeur. The ceremony also paid a special tribute to the legendary Spanish singer Raphael, who was honored as the 2025 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year for his more than six-decade career and his role as an ambassador of Latin music worldwide, a fitting Raphael tribute.

Expanding the Horizon: New Award Categories at Latin Grammys 2025

In an effort to recognize an even broader spectrum of Latin music’s creativity, the Latin Recording Academy introduced significant updates for the 2025 awards. A new field dedicated to Visual Media was established, featuring the category Best Music for Visual Media. This award aims to honor original music created for films, television series, video games, and other visual media, provided the project features Latin rhythms or is composed by someone of Ibero-American descent, a significant addition for visual media music. Additionally, the Best Roots Song category was introduced to celebrate songwriters of new, unpublished recordings that reflect the traditions and heritage of various communities, particularly those of Hispanic American or Indigenous origin, in Spanish, Portuguese, or indigenous languages. The Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance category also saw revisions, including stricter criteria for remixes and an increased percentage requirement for urban elements, enhancing the focus on urban fusion performance.

Broadcast and Broader Impact of the Latin Grammys 2025

The 26th annual Latin Grammys 2025 were broadcast live across TelevisaUnivision’s U.S. platforms, including Univision, UniMás, ViX, and Galavisión, commencing at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, with a pre-show beginning an hour earlier. For the first time, Latin Grammy voting members were also invited to join the Recording Academy’s 2025 new member class, signaling a closer collaboration between the two major music organizations and a commitment to amplifying Latin voices within the global Latin music industry. The event continues to serve as a pivotal platform, celebrating the rich diversity and ever-expanding global influence of Latin music and storytelling at the Latin Grammys 2025.

A Celebration of Latin Music’s Evolution at the Latin Grammys 2025

The Latin Grammys 2025 in Las Vegas proved to be a memorable night, showcasing both established titans and emerging talents. With top stories emerging from Bad Bunny’s nomination dominance, the heartfelt tribute to Raphael, and the introduction of vital new award categories, the ceremony reaffirmed the dynamic evolution and undeniable impact of Latin music on the world stage. The event successfully highlighted the creativity, innovation, and cultural richness that define this vibrant global music genre, solidifying the importance of the Latin Grammys 2025.
