La Linea Festival 2026 Ignites London with 90% Female Latin Music Stars

Chloe ThompsonChloe ThompsonJanuary 14, 2026 1083 Minutes read0

London’s iconic La Linea Festival returns for spring 2026, with dates running from April 20 to May 6. This edition makes history with a remarkable 90% female lineup, positioning itself as a leader in London music events. Como No presents this major event, celebrating Latin music’s diverse sounds and championing women’s voices at the La Linea Festival.

La Linea Festival: A London Music Landmark and New Music Festival

La Linea Festival is London’s longest-running Latin music festival, entering its 26th year in 2026. The festival spans multiple venues across the capital. Como No presents this event since 2001, championing Latin creativity in London. They are one of England’s leading music promoters and a National Portfolio Organisation supported by Arts Council England. The organization is transitioning to a not-for-profit model, enhancing their community focus. The La Linea Festival always features top talent, showcasing established icons and emerging artists from Latin America and the UK. Furthermore, it celebrates London’s global Latin identity, making the La Linea Festival a significant new music festival.

A Groundbreaking Female Focus at the La Linea Festival

This 2026 edition of the La Linea Festival presents a bold statement, with a 90% female lineup leading the programming. This commitment amplifies women’s contributions and highlights their innovation in Latin music. Historically, women have faced underrepresentation; studies show gender disparity in festival lineups, with one report finding only about 10% of acts led by women. The La Linea Festival actively counters this trend. The festival director, Elena Beltrami, emphasizes connection across continents, generations, and sounds. Indeed, showcasing female Latin artists is a priority, as they are reimagining Latin music for the future at the La Linea Festival.

Top Artists Take Center Stage at La Linea Festival

Several acclaimed artists headline the La Linea Festival. Mexican singer-songwriter Silvana Estrada, a Latin Grammy winner for Best New Artist in 2022, is featured. Estrada’s album “Vendrán Suaves Lluvias” received high praise, and she makes her La Linea Festival debut. Portuguese fado sensation Sara Correia opens the festival as a Latin Grammy nominee, bringing a new album and show. Additionally, influential Mexican rock band Caifanes will perform a special intimate show, known for their anthems. Brazilian artist Zé Ibarra makes his UK debut as the lead vocalist of Bala Desejo, a Latin Grammy-winning group. Spanish singer-songwriter Lia Kali returns to London to perform new material. Peruvian artist Renata Flores brings her unique sound, blending trap and Andean influences. Argentinian singer La Yegros performs her Nu Cumbia style. Desta French leads “Latinas of London,” highlighting UK-based Latina artists. Eliane Correa presents “Las Salseras,” a tribute to Celia Cruz. Spanish artists Maria Arnal and Queralt Lahoz also perform, showcasing innovative sounds. Colombian collective Las Poderosas brings three compelling female voices. This diverse lineup for the La Linea Festival offers a rich tapestry of Latin music stories.

A Platform for Innovation and Stories at Como No Presents

La Linea Festival has a rich history of innovation, hosting groundbreaking debuts and shaping the UK Latin music scene. Como No presents the festival with a mission to strengthen the musical connection between Latin America and the UK, offering a platform for creativity, bold collaborations, and fresh concepts. The festival aims to reflect the vibrant diversity of Latin music, celebrating both traditional and contemporary sounds. In fact, Como No has a long history of presenting legendary artists spanning decades. This makes the La Linea Festival a crucial event, allowing artists to share their stories and connect with a broad audience, truly capturing the evolving soundscape and shaping London’s global music identity.

Looking Ahead to La Linea Festival

The 2026 edition of the La Linea Festival promises an exciting experience, continuing its legacy. The festival offers a deep dive into Latin music and prominently celebrates female artistry. Attendees can expect powerful performances and discover new sounds. The event solidifies London’s position as a global hub for Latin music. The La Linea Festival is a must-see cultural celebration, providing incredible stories through its music.
